LG ELECTRONICS DRIVES DESIGN TRENDS, NEW TECHNOLOGIES WITH CUTTING-EDGE DIGITAL SIGNAGE SOLUTIONS

CHICAGO, May 16, 2007 - A new digital signage technology designed to streamline system design and control was introduced today by flat-panel display leader LG Electronics.

At the 2007 Digital Signage Expo (Booth #217), LG Electronics is demonstrating its new IP (Internet Protocol) Solution technology, which enables the digital signage industry to deliver video content to multiple locations with centralized video content and display control capability.

LG's new M4210 series of flat-panel HDTV LCDs - M4210C-BA and M4210N-BA - utilizes the company's IP Solution for integrated networking designed specifically for LG displays.

Best used in large venue applications where users need to control one or many groups of displays customized to their location, IP Solution is capable of delivering video content to multiple locations with centralized video content and display control capability. The widescreen M4210 series is capable of portrait (vertical) or landscape (horizontal) orientation, further addressing the digital signage industry's need for maximizing space and customizing its digital signage network,

"Our IP Solution technology offers business owners diverse and innovative options to reach their costumers," said Ron Snaidauf, vice president of Commercial Products, LG Electronics USA, Inc. "These technologies enhance the consumer experience and streamline integration so the main focus is on the content."

Sporting a narrow 29mm bezel that makes the self video wall matrixing images look more natural than ever, the M4210 line features LG's exclusive Super IPS™ LCD technology for wide viewing angles and is ideal for situations where screens are positioned at different angles. The units also incorporate the company's proprietary XD Engine® technology, taking low-resolution analog signals to near high-definition levels, improving brightness, contrast, and detail and enhancing color as well as reducing signal noise.
