LG ELECTRONICS UNVEILS SUITE OF ALL-IN-ONE MULTI-MEDIA HUBS FOR HOTEL GUESTROOMS

Remote Jack Packs with Sleek Slim Profile Designs, New Colors Showcased at HD2007 Hospitality Design Expo

LAS VEGAS, May 10, 2007 - Bringing a new level of flexibility to interior designers incorporating flat-screen HDTVs into hotel guestrooms, LG Electronics is launching an expanded line of auto-sensing Remote Jack Packs (RJPs).

LG's RJPs are all-in-one multimedia hubs providing guests with multiple audio/video inputs to interface with the TV and external portable devices such as DVD/CD players, laptop PCs and MP3 players, among others.

Combining convergence, convenience and sleek design, the three new models - RJP-110W/WBR, RJP-110F/FW and RJP-110S - are being demonstrated for the first time at the HD2007 Hospitality Design Expo (Booth #2217), May 10-12.

LG's RJP line, which also includes model RJP-101M introduced last November, features slim designs for easy installation and an integrated, clean appearance to guestrooms. The units also include a USB connection for future applications.

SLIM PROFILE DESIGN, INNOVATIVE MULTI-MEDIA INTERFACE

The RJP line's slim design allows the lodging industry to easily integrate the unit into guestroom designs with LG Electronics flat panel displays. Guests will find the full-featured jack packs easy to use, only needing to plug in the audio or video component to activate the device via the TV. If a guest chooses to connect a device, the interface automatically switches the TV display panel to show the new source.

The auto-sensing remote jack pack is designed to be able to process audio from one source, and video separately from a different source, if required. That means, for example, that guests can display the output from their laptop computer while listening to music from a MP3 player, all through the LG flat-screen TV.

On LG flat-screen models that have this feature, guests can use a picture-outside- picture (POP) feature by simply selecting channel up or down once the video source is connected. For example, when a laptop is connected, the laptop picture will show up in the larger inset picture on the left and the TV channel will show up in the smaller inset picture on the right. Satellite radio may also be available as an in-room audio source at some locations, and guests can recharge laptop or cell phone batteries while watching TV.

MULTIPLE COLORS, DESIGNS OFFER RANGE OF POSIBILITIES

LG's top-of-the-line RJP, the full-featured RJP-101M, is offered in a sleek black design and features vertical wall-mount capabilities, making it perfect for any guestroom. Additional features include four AC outlets, phone jack, LAN jack, 3.5 mm stereo audio jack, left-right audio jacks, composite video jack, S-Video connector, 15-pin RGB PC monitor connector, digital video connector and USB port.

The RJP-110W/WBR is compact and can be easily mounted in a guestroom drawer. Features include two AC outlets, 3.5mm stereo audio jack, left-right audio jacks, composite video jack, 15-pin RGB PC monitor connector and digital video connector. The RJP-110W comes in black and the RJP-110WBR comes in brown.

Model RJP-110F/FW, the slimmest in the line, allowing it to be easily mounted on a desk, comes in black (RJP-110F) and white (RJP-110FW). Features include 3.5 mm stereo audio jack, left-right audio jacks, composite video jack, 15-pin RGB PC monitor connector and digital video connector.

Available in a smooth silver finish, the desk-mountable RJP-110S features a cradle for guests' electronic devices such as their mobile phones or MP3 devices. Features include two AC outlets, 3.5mm stereo audio jack, left-right audio jacks, composite video jack, 15-pin RGB PC monitor connector and digital video connector.
