ORLANDO, June 7, 2006 - Addressing business applications from digital signage to entertainment to education, LG Electronics is showcasing one of the industry's most comprehensive selections of flat-panel display solutions this week at InfoComm 2006 (Booth #2141).

The unparalleled breadth and depth of LG's commercial plasma displays and LCD TVs and monitors will be displayed in multiple vignettes throughout the booth, highlighting a broad range of commercial applications and underscoring the company's reputation as a leader in the professional AV communications and systems integration industries.

"As costs continue to drop, flat panel displays are becoming the option of choice for many organizations where space and performance are key considerations," said Ron Snaidauf, vice president, Commercial Products, LG Electronics USA, Inc. "From stadiums to boardrooms, businesses are well into the process of upgrading their displays from bulky CRTs to space-saving LCDs to create contemporary environment and to enhance user experiences. Industries across the board are increasingly selecting LCDs and plasmas in high-profile locations such as airport passenger waiting areas, retail outlets and restaurants, to name a few."

LCDs
As LCD monitors become an increasingly popular option, LG continues push the limits of technology - delivering products that combine cutting-edge performance and stylish, space-saving design. Most LG LCD TVs incorporate Super In-Plane-Switching (Super IPS) technology that provide with up to 178-degree viewing angles. The wide viewing angle allows for distortion free viewing from almost any angle, perfect for crowded public spaces where a straight view of the screen is not always available. LG's flagship plasma display, the 71-inch Plasma Display Monitor (Model MW-71PY10), is also on display at InfoComm 2006. The MW-71PY10 boasts 1920 x 1080p (progressive-scan) resolution - the highest resolution available on any HDTV display worldwide - which provides the most vivid and realistic viewing experience. The largest plasma display currently available on the U.S. market, the MW-71PY10 is perfect for premium installations, from a luxury stadium skybox to a high-end boardroom. The unit has optional speakers and comes with a removable stand.

All of LG's new plasmas include proprietary XD EngineTM technology that delivers crisp, lifelike and brilliant images by taking the low resolution of analog signals to near high-definition levels through improved brightness, contrast, detail and enhanced color as well as reduced signal noise.
