BUSINESS APPLICATIONS DRIVE BREADTH AND DEPTH
OF LG ELECTRONICS LCD PRODUCT LINE
Company Presents Multiple LCD TV Solutions at InfoComm 2005
Addressing business applications from digital signage to entertainment to education, LG Electronics is demonstrating one of the industry's most comprehensive arrays of liquid crystal display (LCD) TV solutions this week at InfoComm 2005 (Booth #2700).
LG's breadth and depth of commercial LCD TVs will be displayed in multiple vignettes throughout the booth, highlighting a broad range of commercial applications and underscoring the company's reputation as a leader in the professional AV communications and systems integration industry.
"Offered in a wide variety of sizes - from 15- to 55-inch models, LG's LCD TV lineup is designed to provide the industry's most innovative and functional solution to professional information communications and electronics customers," said Ron Snaidauf, vice president, Commercial Products, LG Electronics USA, Inc. "It's all about offering businesses unique approaches to delivering high-definition video and information to their customers in ways that combine functionality and aesthetics."
"As the cost of LCD TVs continues to drop, flat panel displays are becoming the option of choice for many organizations where space and performance are key considerations," said John Lagodimos, director of new Commercial Products business development, LG Electronics USA, Inc. "Stadiums are already well into the process of upgrading their displays from heavy CRTs to space-saving LCDs to create a contemporary environment and to enhance their fans' experiences at sporting events or concert venues. Airports are also increasingly selecting LCDs as the TV of choice for passenger waiting areas, and, of course, the hospitality industry is increasingly incorporating LCDs into room design and public spaces."
Dedicated to developing advanced tools for the system integrators, LG's LCD TVs are driven by LG's proprietary XD EngineTM technology, which takes the low resolution of analog signals to near high-definition levels by improving brightness, contrast, detail and enhancing color as well as reducing signal noise. This total solution results in cinema-like high-resolution images that are sure to capture the attention of the target audience.
Most LG LCD TVs also incorporate Super In-Plane-Switching (Super IPS) technology that provides the industry's fastest response time and a 178-degree viewing angle, the widest on the market today. The wide viewing angle allows for distortion free viewing from almost any angle, perfect for crowded public spaces where a straight view of the screen is not always available.
